Policy

Privacy Policy.

What we collect when you use this website, why we hold it, how long we keep it, and what you can ask us to do about it.

Who is responsible for your data

  • Captivolt Technologies, operating from Pune, India, decides what personal data this website collects and why: the role a data protection regulator calls the controller.

  • For any question about this policy or your data, write to contact@captivolt.com with "Privacy" in the subject line.

What we collect

  • Enquiry form: your name, work email, company and the message you write, plus the area of interest if you choose one.

  • AI Readiness Diagnostic: the eight answers you select and the resulting recommendation. Your email is collected only if you ask for the result by email.

  • Resource requests: the resource you asked for, your email, and optionally your name and company.

  • Analytics: if you agree to analytics cookies, our analytics provider records how pages are used. If you decline, no analytics script is loaded at all.

  • We do not ask for special category data, and you should not send it to us through this website.

Why we hold it, and on what basis

  • To answer your enquiry and propose a relevant next step. We rely on your request to be contacted, and on our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries.

  • When you send an enquiry, we email you a short receipt, and the enquiry is emailed to our team so they can reply. A resource request is emailed to our team so they can send you the resource.

  • To deliver and support engagements you have asked us to undertake, under the contract between us.

  • To understand how the site is used and improve it. This is done only with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

  • We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects.

How long we keep it

  • Enquiry records are kept for two years from submission, after which an automated process removes the personal details and retains only a non-identifying record that a submission occurred.

  • The timestamp of your consent is stored alongside the enquiry, because it is the evidence that you gave it.

  • Diagnostic answers are kept without your identity unless you asked for the result by email.

  • If we are working together, engagement records are kept for as long as the engagement and any legal or accounting obligation requires.

Who else sees it

  • Our hosting and database infrastructure runs on Amazon Web Services.

  • Our email is hosted by GoDaddy, which carries the enquiries and resource requests sent to our team and the receipts we send you.

  • If you accept analytics cookies, usage data is processed by our analytics provider (Microsoft Clarity or Google Analytics, whichever is configured at the time).

  • We use processors to run the service, not to sell or share your data for advertising.

  • Where data is processed outside the country you are in, we rely on the safeguards our providers offer for international transfers.

Your rights

  • You can ask what we hold about you, and ask for a copy.

  • You can ask us to correct anything inaccurate.

  • You can ask us to delete your data. We act on erasure requests directly rather than waiting for the retention period to expire.

  • You can object to processing based on our legitimate interests, and ask us to restrict processing while an objection is considered.

  • You can withdraw consent for analytics at any time using the Cookie settings link in the footer. Withdrawing does not affect anything done before.

  • If you are in the UK, EU or another region with a data protection authority, you may complain to it. We would rather you told us first so we can put it right.

Cookies and analytics

  • Nothing non-essential loads before you agree. Until you make a choice, no analytics script is requested at all.

  • Declining is one click and carries the same weight as accepting.

  • Your choice is stored in a first-party cookie holding the decision, when it was made and which version of this policy it was made against. Nothing about that record identifies you.

  • You can change your mind at any time from the Cookie settings link in the footer.

  • Blocking cookies in your browser does not stop you using this site.

Security

  • Data you send through this website travels over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection.

  • Access to enquiry data is limited to accounts that need it, and every access and change is recorded.

  • See our Security Statement for how we approach this more broadly.

Changes to this policy

  • If we change how we handle personal data, we will update this page and the version recorded against your cookie choice, which will ask you to choose again where the change affects tracking.
